Beaver Animal Rescue & Care
Students partner with local shelters to foster, rehabilitate, and find homes for animals in the Storm Lake area. Hands-on compassion in action.
ServiceMulticultural Engagement Leadership Team
Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus through cultural events, dialogue, mentoring, and community-building programs.
LeadershipAg Club
Connects students interested in agriculture through field trips, industry networking, livestock events, and hands-on experiences across northwest Iowa.
AcademicCriminal Justice Club
Explores careers in law enforcement, corrections, and legal services through guest speakers, mock trials, ride-alongs, and courthouse visits.
AcademicAnime and Gaming Society
Weekly watch parties, gaming tournaments, cosplay workshops, and convention trips. A welcoming community for anime fans and gamers of all levels.
SocialRodeo
BVU's competitive rodeo team travels across the region for bareback, barrel racing, roping, and more. Western grit meets Beaver pride.
AthleticsRobotics Club
Designs, builds, and programs robots for competitions. Students from all majors collaborate on engineering challenges and STEM outreach.

Intramural Sports
Not every athlete wears a varsity jersey. BVU offers dozens of intramural sports options throughout the year — flag football, volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, kickball, soccer, and more. Teams form by residence hall, friend group, or just whoever shows up.
Intramurals are one of the most popular ways to stay active, make friends, and keep the competitive spirit alive without the commitment of a varsity schedule.

Service is woven into BVU's identity. From campus-wide traditions to national programs, Beavers give back — not because they have to, but because it's who they are.

Buenafication Day
A beloved campus-wide volunteer tradition where classes are not scheduled so the entire BVU community can fan out across Storm Lake for a day of service projects. It's one of the most anticipated days of the year.
AmeriCorps State Program
BVU partners with AmeriCorps to place students in sustained service roles throughout the academic year. Members earn education awards while tackling real community challenges in northwest Iowa.
Spring Break Service Trips
Instead of the beach, many Beavers spend spring break giving back. Students travel to communities in need for week-long service projects — building homes, tutoring kids, and restoring neighborhoods.
